IDENTITY

Field & Stream is an American magazine, in print and online since 1895.

SYMBOLIC SIGNIFICANCE

Many of the magazines in the film are from the first half of 1978, which would lead one to suspect that that’s simply when these scenes were shot. Still, only a handful of the dozens of magazines available were featured. This issue features articles on hunting gamebirds and gamefish. Hallorann is associated to birds and fish.

Next literary reference: Di-acro Flyer
